Blog Purpose?

I was thinking today about why I want to have a Blog. I thought up 3 reasons, though I'm sure there are more.
1. Keep in touch with friends
2. Keep record of events/thoughts that I don't keep in my diary
3. To be entertaining...
Ok so #3 might be a tad pretentious. To think that this might actually be entertaining to someone that does even know me, but I thought it was a fun goal to have. The only reason I know that I can claim this purpose is that I know how much I am entertained by reading other people's blogs, people who, like me, are not that "important" or hilarious or brilliant. Just normal everyday people. Sometimes I will open up all the myspaces/blogs that I have bookmarked, check all for updates (which I do way too much, sorry for those that have trackers, as I probably show up all too much, it's like a really bad habit, sit at computer - open all myspaces - oh look no one updated since I checked about 2 hours ago... sorry for the slight ocd.) SOOOO anyways... I'll open them all up then just for fun I will click on one of their friends, someone I may or may not know. And then from that person's site I will click on another random person. It's all in good fun. And sometimes a new person gets added to the bookmarks list if they have a particularly fun site. This is especially true if said person is pregnant because I have found that I am drawn like a magnet to pregnant women since I was pregnant. It is just really interesting to me to hear other people's thoughts/feelings and pictures about pregnancy and their new babies. I hope this doesn't make me some crazy stalker type person, but I figure that if the site isn't protected that it is ok for strangers to check it out. Although now I'm thinking that you all think that I am a strange stalker crazy person... input on this would be great. From my point of view, everyone is welcome here, so pull up a chair and stay a while. :)
I know this one is really long today but I have a few different things to talk about since it's been awhile, just two more topics though, and I'm done; I promise.

So last night I stayed up until I finished the book I was reading: Eldest. It's the 2nd book in a trilogy so, of course, the characters are left in a situation that is seemingly impossible to escape. I really enjoyed this book. Such a bittersweet thing though, to finish a book. I was really enjoying reading it, and now it's over. I also had to return it to my friend, the Library, so I can't reread it over and over. That is the great thing about owning books, you can reread the great ones as much as you want. I had one book Last of the Breed, that I read so much the spine split in three places and I had to buy another copy. Jonathan thinks I'm crazy for being able to reread books over and over, but hey, what can I say, I really (I mean really) appreciate what I feel is an entertaining read. Oh and one last thing about Eldest... Just for the record - I soooo called it! I mean the foreshadowing was pretty heavy handed I thought, but still it felt good when my hunch actually became reality. :-D

Ok last but definitely not least, is my little guy. He just recently got over the bad sickies, as I mentioned in previous posts, only to catch a bug from me. :( We both have had the sniffles for almost a week. I actually took him to the doctor yesterday just to be sure it hadn't gone into his lungs because he had quite the pack a day smokers hack going on. But, it hasn't, so it is just a cold, which means there really isn't anything to do for him, except keeping his little nose suctioned out, which he loves... Hopefully he will be %100 soon. Oh, and all newspapers are unsafe on the floor of our house. Ohlen can definitely get to where ever he wants on the floor now. Not officially crawling, but close. Pray for us... :-D

Have a great weekend everyone!!
